It is estimated that 30% of the population suffers from insomnia (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1978319/). Keep reading if you are among those 30%, and learn how hypnosis for insomnia can help you to overcome your challenges and even physical pain.

Insomnia And Health Conditions?

Primary Insomnia means that your sleep problems aren’t linked to any other health issues (https://www.webmd.com/sleep-disorder/insomnia-symptoms-and-causes), while secondary insomnia means that your sleeping problems are due to health problems. Many people will experience acute (short-term) insomnia as a result of stress, anxiety, or traumatic events. This might last days or weeks.

Chronic insomnia, however, is a long-term sleeping problem that lasts a month or more.

Common Causes of Insomnia

Z

#1 Stress, Anxiety & Worry

These can all spike when we face change or uncertainty. Financial situations, a change in marital status or schools, family issues or a traumatic event can all disrupt your sleep and cause insomnia.

Z

#2 Sleeping Habits

Poor sleeping habits, including over-stimulating activities before bedtime, watching screens (TV, laptop, smartphone, and video games) late at night, an uncomfortable sleep environment and issues with lighting can all lead to insomnia.
Z

#3 Poor Diet

Eating late at night or a diet that isn’t suitable for you can cause physical discomfort like heartburn, which may cause insomnia and interfere with your sleep.
Z

#4 Health Condition

Pain or an illness, along with medications, can interrupt your natural wake-sleep cycle.
Z

#5 Work or Travel Schedule

Your natural wake-sleep cycle is interrupted by working shifts, starting very early or finishing work very late, or by travelling between different time zones.
